Ongoing Programs at the Conservatory

Encouraging Musical Education
We, members of the Association for the Advancement of Music and Dance in Akko (an NPO) have set a goal of encouraging musical education in the city, promoting the activities of the conservatory and encouraging young musicians.

Our members operate voluntarily and the donations we raise are used solely for promoting and supporting
music and dance education for talented children as well as children from families in need.

Our Scholarships Program - Each year we raise scholarships for outstanding students and students from disadvantaged families.

The scholarship funds the individual study hours of each child throughout the year.

A full scholarship costs $1,500.

This year we seek to generate $120,000 in scholarship funding, to cover the cost of 120 scholarships.

Musical Instruments - Every year, the conservatory raises a donation to buy quality musical instruments for children and allow every child to play a personal instrument that they may take home to practice.

This year we intend to raise $35,000 to purchase 33 musical instruments.

Center for Gifted Children- Five outstanding students receive additional weekly musical lessons and music theory classes.

Moreover, every student attends 10 master-classes conducted experts in their field.

These students travel to participate in a variety of musical seminars in Israel and abroad throughout the year.
The cost of the program for five students is $60,000.

Concert Program and Master Classes- Every year the conservatory conducts a series of seven concerts open to the public.

Choirs, orchestras and ensembles from around the world and throughout Israel join us to perform and teach the students in master classes.
The cost of the program is $35,000.

Personal Empowerment- The Conservatory promotes musical excellence, equal opportunity, growth, personal empowerment, self-expression and educational continuity.

The music school project- is held in all elementary schools, Jewish and Arab, in the city.

The morning  hours are dedicated to music and singing classes, from kindergarten to high school.

All of the the schools support their own musical ensembles, choir or orchestras.

Individual music lessons- as the afternoon hours are dedicated to rehearsals and practice sessions for the various representative ensembles, orchestras, choirs, and chamber ensembles.

The "Musicians of tomorrow" project- encourages excellence in string instruments.

Concert series for kindergarten and elementary school students - maintains the goal of enabling each child to experience a professional concert every year in the conservatory auditorium.

The music series- features chamber ensembles, orchestras and professional choirs from Israel and around theworld.

The series is open to the public.
